Terms & Conditions
These terms govern your use of Self Tape Lab. By creating an account or booking a session, workshop or subscription, you accept these terms.

1. Your account
You must be at least 18 years old to use Self Tape Lab, or have a parent or guardian present during your sessions if you are under 18. You agree to provide accurate information when registering and to keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account.
2. Bookings, readers and coaches
Sessions are arranged between members and listed readers or coaches. Self Tape Lab provides the booking, messaging and live room tools but is not a party to the reading or coaching itself. Readers and coaches are independent members who set their own rates, availability and approach.
3. Payments and commission
Paid sessions, workshops, courses and subscriptions are charged through the app at checkout. The platform retains a 5% commission on reader and coach session fees to cover payment processing and platform costs. Readers and coaches receive their listed rate less the commission, paid out by bank transfer to the details they enter on the Earnings page.
4. Cancellations
You can cancel a session from the session detail page. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the start time receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may retain a late cancellation fee to cover the reader or coach's held slot. See our Refund Policy for the detail.
5. Workshops and courses
Workshops and courses are created and managed by Self Tape Lab administrators. For self-tape workshops you receive a script to record and submit by the stated deadline; the host then leaves feedback. Workshop scripts and submitted tapes are for your own use only and must not be shared publicly.
6. Conduct
Treat other members, readers, coaches and hosts with respect. Do not harass, threaten or discriminate against anyone on the platform, and do not use the service to share unlawful, offensive or copyrighted material you do not have the rights to. We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these terms.
7. Liability
Self Tape Lab is provided on an "as is" basis. We are not liable for the outcome of any reading, coaching session or workshop, or for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the platform. Our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the relevant service.
8. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the app or by email, and continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
